The Saturday Edit

Happiest of weekends, friends! It’s an exciting weekend over here because as of Thursday, Los Angeles is cleared for intimate weddings and I have my first of the year today! To say we are excited to get back to weddings is an understatement. In keeping with DPH guidelines, today’s celebration is small but mighty. This couple was supposed to have been married last May, but had to postpone to this year. Their original guest list of 250 guests has been whittled down to 35 of their nearest and dearest friends and family, and it promises to be a very heartfelt wedding after waiting so long to tie the knot.

Before I rush off to help them celebrate, I thought I would share a few things from around the web this week that intrigued me.

While we’re waiting for a good while before traveling, I am already dreaming of destinations and of course weddings, and I found the most exquisite Villa Sola Cabiati on Lake Como, Italy. Let’s go plan a wedding there!

If you’ve been on the blog at all this week, you saw that I was recapping Bridal Fashion Week. Well, just because BFW is over, doesn’t mean the pretty dress reveals end. Oscar de la Renta (a personal favorite!) revealed their Spring/Summer ‘22 collection yesterday and it is dreamy. You can see a sneak peek here.

This week’s podcast episode featured photographer Szu Brown and we talked about preserving your wedding day details with photography. Also, she has a free offer for a Styling Session, good through May 12th, so don’t forget to cilck through and schedule your session!

A pretty, modern eyelet dress - perfect for rehearsal dinner or as a second dress for your wedding reception!

As the weather warms, I’m craving less carbs (which I’ve been living off of this whole quarantine!) and more greens and veggies. And chicken, always chicken. This Greek Cobb salad looks like the perfect weekday lunch that is both beautiful to look at, and tasty too!

I love pinning wedding cakes on my Pinterest board, and there is a clear prejudice for floral detailing. However, I’ve been seeing and pinning some dark and moody cakes lately, and I have to say I’m really coming to love them!

Have a wonderful weekend! We’ll be back on Monday with a new episode of The Leap Lifestyle Podcast, and a downtown LA engagement session that is both edgy and romantic. xx
